Job Description

IFF is looking for an energized Senior Account Manager (Ingredient Sales) for India & Middle East to become part of our Scent Ingredients commercial team.

You will have the opportunity to join a dynamic, experienced, and motivated team of commercial executives to make immediate contributions to our sales growth initiatives and develop a unique skillset by serving our global strategic customers.

The position is based in Mumbai (India) and reports into the Scent Ingredients Commercial Director based in Singapore.

About You

You have a true passion for sales, with a strong interest in fragrances, ingredients and/or specialty chemicals, the ability to build and maintain outstanding customer relationships and to interact with diverse stakeholders. A solid consumer and market understanding complete your profile.

Your expertise includes strong organizational and planning skills, and ability to implement best practices / processes. Experience in the perfumery industry is a major plus.

As the Senior Account Manager, you will spend your time
Interfacing with key customer decision-makers to validate and qualify opportunities to generate profitable sales.
Identifying innovative solutions which meets consumer and customer needs, over and above competition.
Developing and delivering compelling presentations that provide valuable insight.
Managing and executing demanding projects by energizing and leading cross-functional teams.
Negotiating contracts with customers twice a year (on average).
Building and maintaining knowledge of the consumer fragrance industry, with a key focus in air care and fine fragrance markets.
Target and create sales and growth opportunities while managing customer expectations.
Managing and developing relationships with your peers by being accessible, supporting problem solving, and stepping in when critical issues need to be elevated and resolved.

Job Requirements

What you will need to be successful
BA/BS Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology or Pharmacy is desirable.
At least 8-10 years of successful sales experience including contributions to sales strategy development, prioritization, and execution, preferably specialty chemical and /or fragrance industry experience.
Confident, dynamic, and enthusiastic professional with ability to generate trust, internally and externally, by delivering on commitments and to impact customers at the highest levels.
Excellent listening and presentation skills, you are a reliable team player.
Proficiency in English communication skills, other language proficiency is a plus.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of your time.
Previous work with multi-national customers is preferred.
Understanding of Operations and Logistics dynamics is key.
Proficient in Power Point and Excel with strong to advanced knowledge of programs.
