Job description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and oversee plant manufacturing engineering related to Injection Moulding
- Improve/develop manufacturing processes, techniques, methods, and equipment for cost-reduction, quality improvement, productivity, and efficiency
- Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals and evaluating results
- Participate in the analysis of designs to determine areas of improvement
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Understand TAKT, and equipment utilization and partner with Operations and Process Engineering to identify detractors and improve. OEE
- Provide and support engineering assistance in equal problem-solving activities.
- Set productivity standards/targets and monitor and report performance
- Develop, collect, analyze, and report key metrics including scrap, utilization, and on-time delivery
- Cycle Time Analysis
- Understand Automation Concepts and Assembly fixturing improvements
- Keep equipment operational by establishing and coordinating preventive maintenance and repair services.
- Work in close coordination with the maintenance, engineering, and operations team.
- Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeover times.
- Ability to multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers and, suppliers, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Regular/Full Time- B Tech (Preferably Mechanical) /Diploma in Plastic Engg /CIPET
- MIn. 12+ years of supervisory experience in a high-volume injection molding manufacturing environment preferred.
- Good Communication, interpersonala,l and Presentation Skills
- Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, SPC, and Lean Six Sigma will be an added advantage
