Production Manager

Job opportunity at String Bio Private Limited for the role of Production Manager - Tumakuru
Role & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Process and Engineering team on scale-up efforts.
- Actively support the tech transfer of production processes from Scale-up to Manufacturing team.
- Develop and execute production plans to fulfill orders and maintain required inventory level.
- Allocate resources and utilize assets effectively to produce optimal results.
- Prepare and ensure SOPs are adhered to at all stages of the production process.
- Troubleshoot issues and investigate deviations reported related to manufacturing operations.
- Ensure the BMRs are updated and accurate to support traceability of products manufactured.
- Maintain comprehensive record of all manufacturing data.
- Perform statistical analysis and apply methods to monitor and control the quality of goods produced.
- Monitor and achieve department's goals related to Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery.
- Drive continuous improvements to scale best practices across the organization.
- Evaluate productivity of the team and identify measures to boost productivity.
- Strive to reduce expenses and increase efficiency across all product lines.
- Coach, mentor and train the team members.
- Establish systems related to processes and products to meet the requirements of certification body.
- Work collaboratively with the other departments to ensure department and company objectives are achieved.
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment and compliance with established policies and procedures.
Preferred candidate profile
- Graduate in Biotechnology/ Chemical Engineering/ Life Science.
- 10 to 15 years of work experience in Biotechnology or relevant industry.
- Hands-on experience with fermentation, centrifugation, filtration, evaporation and drying processes in a medium to large-scale industry
- Knowledge of GMP, GLP, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001 is desirable.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma & Lean concepts will be an added advantage.
