Job description

Position Summary & Key Objectives

To drive growth for Puma India in the apparel category

  • Range Planning and Assortment
  • Gather Customer requirements and feedback to inculcate into the category
  • On time delivery of goods to required stores and platforms
  • Achieving topline and bottom-line target achievement for the category as per the company growth season on year and year on year.
  • Range Planning and assortment for apparel category
  • Consideration of all customer requirements and feedback to update bottom line targets achievement for the category
  • Conduct Market Surveys and generate reports regarding the current customer requirements and gain feedback to inculcate the same on the new range selections
  • Maintain updated knowledge of key competitor products, distribution and pricing strategies as well as stay up to date on the latest category trends and technologies.
  • Cost negotiations on the products with local sourcing teams.
  • Ensure Delivering Goods on Time from the warehouse as per the sales requirements by monitoring and coordinating with the local sourcing team.
  • Booking Factory capacity in advance for the local suppliers monthly with consideration of the budgets and month-wise sales requirement for the category
  • Provide leadership, development, and supervision to staff in the execution of E-Commerce strategies.
  • Coordinate with all the departments to manage marketing campaigns, new initiatives roll outs, discounts, budgets, contents etc.


Qualifications and Functional Competencies
  • Degree in fashion management or a related field.

  • 5+years of relevant experience

  • Experience as a buying manager or in a similar position.

  • Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.

  • Supervisory and management experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently.
