Job description

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an experienced professional for Logistics Partner Management Manager role, who will be part of the Nike India operations team in SEA&I territory. A self-starter, Works independently, receives minimal guidance, solves complex problems, and takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Strategic, forward thinking, able to deal with ambiguity. Ability to influence across the matrix in a fast-evolving industry. Explains difficult issues and works to build consensus, makes decisions within guidelines and policies, ensures actions protect company image and limits risks. Interprets customer needs, assesses requirements, and identifies solutions to non-standard requests. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading logistics partner management team, who manages 3PL (Warehouse & Logistics partner), CHB (Customs house broker), end to product flow and Customs Trade Compliance activities in Export/Import. Manages supply chain processes to increase efficiency and costs effective solutions at every step of the value chain. The candidate will also closely partner with country and regional teams to ensure alignment on seamless execution of Inbound and Outbound operations.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
* Manage inbound & outbound partner management team, accountable for the performance and results of the team
* Ensure effective & efficient distribution of products and services to customers / Consumers and manages India OMNI (both B2B and B2C) channel operations
* Oversee the planning of the national and international movement of goods
* Plans, develops, and implements programs to coordinate order fulfillment and inventory management
* Manage partnership with 3PL (3rd party logistics) service provider and customs broker, responsible to obtain the desired service levels and operational efficiencies from external service providers
* Lead and drive the contract negotiations with service providers.
* Lead annual pricing (GMP) negotiations with service providers.
* Closely works with Customs and Trade Manager to ensure compliance on customs regulations.
* Drive RFP process on warehousing and distribution when necessary with the support of Global Procurement.
* Manage the annual logistics cost budgets/forecasts
* Partner with internal and external stake holders to manage effective supply chain operations and seamless flow of shipments during Big event sales (BBD, EORS, other big sale events)
* Coach, mentor, and trains the partner management team, assists the team to develop their individual developmental plans
* Responsible for effective handling of import/export, distribution activities and maintain cost-effective movement of goods while meeting country regulatory requirements.
* Lead and support the internal/external audits
* Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Is accountable for projects or programs with manageable risks and resource requirements
* Facilitate conversations and lead supply chain performance reviews (KPI) with LSP/customs broker that drive operational excellence.
* Responsible for development and management/administration of all policies and procedures to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods.
* Applies best practices and knowledge of internal/external business challenges to improve products, processes, or services
* Actively engages with CHB for proper customs clearance to meet specified regulations (CAROTAR - customs administration of rules of origin under trade agreement, etc.. )
* Co-ordinate with stake holders (CHB, Consolidators, Factories, and internal X-functional teams) to ensure on time clearance of consignments and ensure 100% customs compliance.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
In this role, you will partner closely with a number of cross-functional partners and teammates, both internal and external. Internally, this role will partner closely with cross-functional teams such as marketplace unit leads, marketplace operations, Legal/GPA, Finance, Customs & Trade team, partner management analysts and regional Goods Flow Planning & Performance Management teams. Externally, this role may liaise with Marketplace Platforms, and 3PL (Warehousing & Distribution).

Profile

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE
* 8-10 years' experience in the distribution/logistics Industry, retail, e-commerce, with a bachelor's degree in related education or closely related
* Experience in managing omni channel logistics operations (both wholesale and Digital operations)
* In-depth knowledge and practical expertise in International Trade, Local regulations & Acts, Logistics, and Import/Export operations
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, often ambiguous environment.
* Ability to work and learn independently and cooperatively in diverse teams.
* Ability to manage the complex projects, budgets, and planning/forecasting
* Good understanding of how e-commerce platforms and supporting systems function and interact.
* Excellent verbal communication and a very strong written communication skill
* Any other professional certificates in supply chain, training in relation to the job will be an added advantage
* Adept with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
* Consumer first mindset.
