Job description

Nike's Enterprise Data & Analytics organization is transforming how data is gathered, managed, governed, and unlocked, making it Available, Consistent, and Trusted to drive Nike's business. ICC Ent. Data & Analytics team needs a strong Product Director to lead Data Foundation, Insights and Analytical Products. Through data and analytic products, you will create future to unlock better decisions, create responsive operations and strengthen unbreakable relation with consumers. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Nike value chain to create, influence and execute product vision to enable Nike's transformation, Consumer Direct Accelerator. With Product vision and roadmap, you will establish clear objective and well-defined key results. As a leader, you are thoughtful, aspirational, and adept at motivating teams through ambiguous situations to successful outcomes.
Responsibilities:
* Define and communicate Product area vision and roadmap; ensure alignment to company strategies
* Define Products and Features, manage and prioritize the Product backlog on an ongoing basis
* Prioritize work for product team squads, data governance and data quality analysts, information architects, and information managers
* Understand current and future customer needs, determine success criteria, validate solutions, and evaluate customer satisfaction
* Ensure teams have the full context and understanding of customers and business environment to create valuable solutions
* Provide oversight of strategy, technical, and transition management aspects
* Assess the business impact of different solutions and the trade-offs between customer needs, technology requirements and costs
* Collaborate with Release Management to determine the optimum release strategy and Product Owners to optimize Feature delivery to the customers
* Analyze and communicate customer adoption, performance, time to market, quality and other metrics to stakeholders
* Ensure Program priorities have necessary funding and review cost of accepted features
* Build an effective Product team and partnership with stakeholders
* Understand how features are performing, the level of customer satisfaction, and provide suggestions for improvements
* Manages, mentors, and inspires a team; managing performance, goals and development potential.
Skills:
* Advanced understanding of the Agile principles and methodologies and how they're applied in workplace culture
* Able to solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions
* In-depth knowledge of vertical and multichannel retail business model
* Expert-level experience working with data and analytics products
* Significant experience working in Big Data and cloud data environments, AWS/Hadoop/S3/Snowflake preferred
* Effective collaboration and relationship management
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally; when problem-solving, you want to be the one at the white board holding the pen
* Experience communicating and resolving issues at a VP level
* Experience leading cross-functional work
* Proven ability to respond to and prioritize changing demands effectively
* Demonstrated success leading others in resolving complex issues
* Ability to anticipate customer needs
* Experience in developing innovative solutions
* Able to identify and resolve both process and people related issues

Profile

Qualifications:
* Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated ability in product management and software development
* Ability to be the thought leader and be the go-to expert for the product and roadmap.
* Ability to operate with a high level of independence and lead multiple products and initiatives
* Ability to develop strong working relationships with Nike business and technology partners at a global level, build consensus, and explain difficult issues
* Ability to communicate, influence and partner effectively using strong verbal and written communication
* Ability to apply best practices and knowledge of internal/external business challenges to improve products, processes, or services, solving complex problems
* Ability to Interpret the customer needs, assessing requirements and identifying solutions
* Previous experience as a team lead/manager preferred
* Experience working with Agile teams
* Experience working with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools, VersionOne or JIRA preferred
* Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, LEAN, Kanban, XP Programming etc.
* Ability to work independently, receiving minimal guidance
* Strong leadership identity and proven collaboration skills
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant subject area required. An MBA degree will be a plus
