Scope and Responsibilities:
As the Director of Operations for the Nike India Capability Center (ICC), you will be responsible to ensure that the center is set up for success with paced growth and smooth operations in alignment with the workforce strategy objectives of the Global Technology organization.
What we're looking for:
*
Oversee the ramp up and smooth operation of the ICC in partnership with HR, Finance, Procurement, Facilities, Legal, and other stakeholder organizations
*
Utilize prior Global Capability Center (GCC) ramp up experience to ensure that the center is growing at the right pace with foundational capabilities established to run the ICC
*
Partner with industry bodies like NASSCOM and others to promote the Nike ICC and understand industry developments/trends, macro-economic, and political risks
*
Network with leaders from other multi-national companies that have well established GCC's to understand best practices and bring them to the ICC
*
Partner with HR to create and promote an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) for Nike's ICC. The EVP should ensure that Nike is positioned as an attractive employer that provides a top-notch employee experience with competitive employee benefits and perks
*
Work with HR on banding and compensation structures to ensure a competitive posture for Nike in the market aligned to best in class packages in the industry
*
Identify and leverage the right staffing/recruiting companies in India that can help source and recruit top quality talent for the ICC
*
Establish relationships with top tier colleges and academic institutions to establish a college recruiting and internship pipeline. Conduct relevant awareness and recruitment events to promote Nike for college graduates and interns to fill internship and early-in-career positions in the ICC
*
Work with the Workforce Design and Connectivity (WD+C) team on forecasting and space planning for the center
*
Work with leaders in World Headquarters (WHQ) to understand demand for the ICC and fulfill staffing and supplier resource needs
*
Participate in governance meetings and drive actions on the ground necessary to ensure alignment with ICC guiding principles outlined in the workforce strategy
*
Create and run a set of operational rhythms using a set of key performance indictors (KPI's) that speak to the health of the ICC
*
Conduct operational reviews on a regular basis and communicate the status of various work streams related to the ramp up and running of the ICC. Manage ICC operational tracks of work using project management rigor with regular communications
*
Plan and host Nike leaders that visit the ICC with robust agendas to meet the objectives of their trips
*
Own and drive employee engagement activities in the ICC to ensure a high degree of employee satisfaction and morale
*
Own the operational budget for the ICC in partnership with Finance. Create the annual financial forecast and budget and champion the needs of the ICC with WHQ leaders and Finance

Profile

Requirements
*
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field; MBA preferred
*
15+ years of experience in IT, business, or a related field with GCC startup and growth experience as an operations leader
*
Extensive operational management experience in a global, matrixed corporation
*
Ability to engage with sr. technology and business leaders on strategy as well as driving clarity and closure to high profile, high tension situations
*
Leadership Excellence in regard to team management and organizational evolution, strategic planning, financial planning and budget management, and vendor management
*
Proven experience with team building skills, with a concentration on employee engagement
*
Expert influencing skills and ability to gather alignment to organizational strategies
*
Ability to leverage resources to effectively translate business objectives into strategic business plans
*
Highly skilled in conflict resolution, collaboration, and high-profile decision making
*
Excellent verbal and written communications
