We are seeking an experienced and driven professional to maximize sales by developing, implementing sound merchandise plans that support sales and drive stock turn while ensuring that products have high fashion relevance whenever in the shelves. The planner will be responsible for ensuring the right stock turn / specific assortment for different retail channels and must be a creative thinker with strong Excel skills and a general understanding of database logic. A sound analytical ability would be a key in forming planning strategies for the respective channel (Flagship, Inline, Airport, Department stores). The work environment is challenging and fast paced, the constant focus would be on; how do I better the Status Quo; therefore, independent handling and ability to work with minimal direction will be a key factor. Your Role Reporting to the Manager - Buying & Merchandizing; you will collaborate closely with internal teams, external stakeholders and be part of global initiatives if needed. Main responsibilities: Create, review and present segments and brand/business plans seasonally. Analyze sales, stock and sellout performance, stock turn by SKU's, Segment, Brand and Store. Use this knowledge and trend, to provide recommendations to maximize opportunities and limit obsolescence. Local and international coordination (at all levels) to include the relevant SKU's in the range and the collection for the Indian market and making sure they are made available when the need is. Forecast and order bestsellers, special and limited edition products. Works on with the global team in defining the product mix, upgrading system, and ensuring timely execution of recommendations. Develop strong partnerships with partners to communicate global direction and requirements. Establish an understanding of buying trends and forecasting in sync with brands positioning and business objectives. Monitor and evaluate the secondary sales weekly. Provide timely and accurate re-projections based upon current trends to effectively manage inventory. Ensure availability of stock in the store at the time of new store opening or any special requirement. Lead and monitor in-store transfers, control dead inventory, obsolescence and improve stock turns to have higher sales. Lead, develop and coach others in the system about the retail setup for future expansion requirements in the organization. Partner with a global planning team and act as a local planner to ensure assortment availability that is a winning assortment.AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES: (Order the responsibilities by importance, specifying a title for each one) Total 3-7 years of work experience. The candidate must have strong market experience. Experience more than one product categories will be preferred.NETWORK OF INTERACTION: INTERNAL: This role will work closely the Business, Projects and Group Buying, Planning & Supply Chain Teams. EXTERNAL: This role will be responsible for partner management for overall Buying & Merchandizing. TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE Post-graduation in Management. Excellent Excel Skills CANDIDATE PROFILE:Should have good experience in Buying and Merchandizing post MBA.LANGUAGES:Proficient in English, Hindi.
